Actor Vishal prays democracy lifts its head up again

“God save my beloved country from this anarchy,” tweeted actor Vishal in a sense of dejection after his nomination papers for the December 21 RK Nagar bye assembly poll were rejected by the election commission officials after high-drama and suspense.

In another tweet, the actor said “still awaiting democracy to lift its head up again.” On Wednesday Vishal called on chief electoral officer of Tamil Nadu and submitted a petition to review his nomination papers.

Vishal also tweeted to President Ramnath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi and brought his plight to their notice.

In a petition to chief electoral officer Rajesh lakhoni, who rejected the nomination papers saying two of the proposers signatures were forged.

In his tweet to President Ramnath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday the actor said: “To the people, I look upto, Hon @narendramodi & Hon @rashtrapatibhvn I am Vishal,I hope u r aware of wats happening in the RK Nagar Election process in Chennai.

“My nomination was accepted & later rejected. Totally unfair. I bring this to your notice & I hope justice prevails.”
