TouringtheMahatmaGandhiDigitalExhibition in Delhitoday,PremierDanielAndrewsannouncedthe Victorian Government was supportingVictoria’sImmigrationMuseumtoshowthe unique exhibition – which will run from April toJuly 2018.
Theannouncement was made at the Pravasi BharatiyaKendrainDelhiwheretheGandhiExhibitionis on display,which was launched in October 2016 by thePrimeMinister of IndiaNarendraModi.
Theexhibition is curated from more than 1,000 archival photographs, 130 minutes of footage, 60 minutes of film clips and 20 voicerecordings of Gandhi’sspeeches.
Theperiod of Gandhi’s life in whichhemigrated from IndiatoEngland and thenSouth Africa as well as thechangehehelpedbringabout in India on his return are featured, with his identity as a successfulmember of theIndiandiasporacentralto the exhibition.
