Coimbatore : MDMK general secretary, Vaiko today sought a CBI inquiry into the death of five Tamils, whose bodies were found floating in a waterbody near Kadapa in Andhra Pradesh.

There were doubts among the people about the death on whether they were brutally murdered and dumped in the water body. The Tamil Nadu Government should contact and clarify the issue with Andhra Pradesh counterpart, Vaiko
told reporters here.

Since the incident was very shocking, the Government should seek a CBI Inquiry, he said.

Tamils were being attacked across the world, Vaiko alleged that a senior official, who was a Tamil, was assaulted to death in Odisha recently, which wasjustified by Union Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan, indicating the hands of BJP in the incident.

He also said refugees from Sri Lanka should be allowed to move freely without any restrictions and should not be confined to camps.

Deputy Chief Minister of Penang in Malaysia, Ramasamy, who came along with Vaiko, said the ban imposed by India on charges of he being an LTTE sympathiser were lifted due to the efforts taken by MDMK leader.

Similarly, the ban on Vaiko’s entry into Malaysia would be soon revoked, Ramasamy, here to participate in a function on the outskirts, said.
