Monday, May 14, 3 pm is going to be the deciding date and time for the fate of children who study under the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE). The result for the ICSE class 10 (Indian Certificate of Secondary Education) and class 12 Indian School Certificate (ISC) is set to be declared on May 14, which falls on the coming Monday.
CLASS 10 ICSE EXAM DATES
The Certificate of Secondary Education class 10 exams were held in 2018 itself from February 26 to March 28.
1.8 LAKH STUDENTS AWAIT ICSE RESULTS
This year, a total of 2,66,011 students appeared if we talk about both classes 10th and 12th of the CISCE Board. Out of this total, if we talk about the class 10 examination, 1,84,253 students appeared for these papers.
CLASS 10 ICSE PASSING MARKS REDUCED THIS YEAR
A Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) press release in March informed that according to CISCE, pass marks for ICSE class 10 and ISC class 12 both were slashed
Passing marks for ICSE class 10 reduced from 40 per cent to 35 per cent from the Examination year 2018 onwards
The information about the same was given in a written reply to a question in the Lok Sabha question today by Upendra Kushwaha, Minister of State, MHRD
CHECKING YOUR ICSE CLASS 10 RESULTS
After the formal declaration of the results, the scorecards of class 10 and class 12 will be available on the official website of the board i.e. cisce.org
The candidates who are eagerly waiting for the results are asked to keep all the required details for the ICSE class 10 results ready for the fast and easy access
Follow these steps:
First visit the official website, then they click on the link to the class 10 results 2018
It is mandatory to fill the form by entering all the required information
As soon as you press the submit button, the result will be displayed on the screen
The students who will be checking their results are asked to save the PDF copy of the results and take some printout of the same for future references
The board will not issue the original marksheets right after the official declaration of the results
IN CASE OF WEBSITE CRASH DURING ICSE CLASS 10 RESULT
It is also often noticed that the official website of the board faces some technical glitches during result hours due to high voltage of traffic on the server
If such situation arises this year for ICSE class 10, candidates are requested not to panic and wait for the official website to resume
ICSE CLASS 10 2018 COMPARED TO LAST YEAR
Last year, these results were declared on 29 May, 2017 at 3 pm
In 2017, a total of 2,48,932 students participated in the CISCE Board Exam. Of the total number, 1,75,299 appeared for the class 10 examination
The pass percentage in the same was was 98.58 per cent
In 10th class, Muskan Abdullah Pathan from Pune and Ashwin Rao from Bengaluru topped with 99.4 per cent
