DJ Academy to launch programme on physical leadership from Aug 1

COIMBATORE: City-based DJ Academy for Management Excellence (DJAME) is launching a programme on Physician Leadership in collaboration with American Association for Physician Leadership (AAPL) from August 1.
The aim is to bring management concepts and tools and techniques of international standards to Indian physician-administrators Florida-based AAPL is the world’s oldest and largest professional association dedicated solely to promoting physician leadership, which maximises the potential of physician leadership to create significant personal and organizational transformation, an academy release said on Tuesday.
The programme will comprise a series of six short duration courses on fundamentals (Quality, Influence, Negotiation, Communication and Finance), performance management, teamwork, leadership and change management besides a course on the Patient-Centric Care Model of health care delivery.

The courses are open to physicians with an MBBS degree and three or more years of medical experience and would benefit heads of clinical departments,health care administrators, physician-entrepreneurs and medical faculty interested in health care management.
The programme is a mix of online and in-person coursework and a co-branded Certificate of Physician Leadership would be awarded to participants who complete all the six courses successfully.
