Three killed, 3 hurt as van runs into crowd at Udumalpet bus stand

Coimbatore : Three persons were killed and three injured, after a van carrying workers of a private textile factory mowed down some pedestrians and two-wheeler riders in Udumalpet in Tirupur district on Tuesday.
According to police, the speeding van dashed against the persons standing near a bus stand at V G Nagar, resulting in the spot death of two persons,.
While three injured were taken and admitted to the Government Hospital in Udumalpet, another died on way to Coimbatore Medical College Hospital, they said.
