Coimbatore : With parents increasingly preferring CBSE system for their wards, Coimbatore, Welfare Association (CWA), running Sri Nehru Vidyalaya Matriculation School, is starting Sri Nehru Vidyalaya for Global Excellence from 2019-2020 academic year.

The school will have Pre-KG to Grade VI and will function at the Matriculation Campus in R S Puram, with a vision to promote global excellence through academics, social, cultural, ethical and concern for environment awareness, Ramesh C Bafna, CWA President told reporters here today.

The school is being set up keeping the challenges of 21st Century schooling in mind, he said.

Besides, it will have special programme beyond 'chalk and talk' for students where they will be taught via experiential learning with special focus on linguistic skills, STEM learning, Robotics and sport programs,Dr Dhirendra ishra, Director Life Educare said.

The school will also have student counselling cell, career counselling and presonalised attention on each child, he said.

CWA, being a leading philanhropists for the noble cause of education, has also plans to begin a free IAS academy for its college students and in the long run a residential school on is college premises at Malumachimpatti on the outskirts, Bafna said.
