Murder Convict Dies of Old Age

A 92-year-old life-term prisoner at Central Jail, convicted of murder, died of age-related complications at the Government Hospital shortly after midnight, on Saturday.
The deceased, Chidambaram, was a native of Thazhiyur of Tirunelveli district. He was convicted of murdering a woman. He was getting treated at the Government Hospital for the past two months for various ailments. A formal investigation has commenced.
