Prime Minister Narendra Modi will kick start BJP’s pre-assembly poll campaign for the Assembly elections in the city on February 2, Union Minister for Shipping, Pon Radhakrishnan, said today.

The campaign, which would be in the form of a public meeting, would have a lasting impact on entire Tamil Nadu.

This would reflect during the Assembly polls, even as nearly 10 lakh people from across the State are expected to attend, Radhakrishnan told reporters here.

Inspecting the venue of the meeting, he said that BJP as a party and organisation was fully geared up to meet the elections and had already started the ground work by forming booth committees.

On alliance, Radhakrishnan said that more parties were likely to join the alliance, which was intact, with existing political parties.
