Fashion fest of January 31 gets eco-friendly

The third edition of the Coimbatore Fashion Fest, to be held on January 31, will have the eco-friendly theme of ‘Go Green.’ More than 10 fashion designers and 20 models will be participating in the fashion fest.

Manoj Saravanan, founder of Coimbatore Fashion Fest, told reporters that the designers and models have been selected after a strenuous scouting and grooming process. They will compete with each other for the crown title. Their performances will be judged by well-known celebrities in the fashion field, he said.

Stating that the Coimbatore Fashion Fest and the Mr. and Ms. Coimbatore pageants were the most happening events in the city, he said that the fashion fest is raising funds for those in need, and for promoting the concept of Go Green.

The Go Green theme this time features organic cotton fabric that the designers have used in some of their creations.
