Indo-Korean joint naval exercise concludes

Sahyog Hyeoblyeog-2016, the four-day long joint exercise of the Indian and Korean Coast Guard that began on June 8, off Chennai coast, concluded yesterday. The Indian ships, Sagar, Samudra, Paheredar, Rajtarang, and Anagh participated in the joint exercise, along with the Korea Coast Guard Ship 3009.

The Coast Guards of both the countries enacted a hijack-and-rescue scenario. Boarding operations and fire-fighting were among the features that were exercised. The Indian Coast Guard ships and aircrafts also demonstrated their skills before the Korean counterparts.

The Korean Coast Guard Ship 3009 will leave Chennai on Saturday.
