Angered by EVKS Elangovan’s remarks about the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and the Prime Minister, hundreds of AIADMK members staged widespread protests against the Congress leader and have demanded apology from him.

Around 400 members, led by Arukutti MLA, staged a protest at Thudiyalur, of Koundampalayam Constituency, raised slogans against Elangovan, thrashed his effigy with chappals, and burned it.

Demonstrations were also held at places like Singanallur. Mayor Rajkumar and other MLAs led the protesters.
