LVB opens 500th branch

The 500th branch of Lakshmi Vilas Bank was opened at Thoraipakkam in Chennai by bank Managing Director and CEO P. Mukhrejee.

According to a statement, the bank grew from 292 branches in March 2013 to this level in four years.

Its network spreads over 271 branches in the State, and is also present in 15 other States and one Union Territory. “We have also crossed another milestone of achieving Rs 50,000 crore businesses,” it said.

Mukherjee said the bank planned to increase their branch network. It had set an aggressive target as part of Vision 2020 to double its business in three years.
