Cong releases new list; NA Haris to contest from Shantinagar

Bengaluru: The Congress on Sunday released a list of 11 candidates for the upcoming assembly polls. CM Siddaramaiah will be contesting from Badami in place of Devraj Patil.

He will also contest from Chamundeshwari. In another surprise, the party has decided to field NA Haris from Shantinagar in Bengaluru despite the flak the party received following UB City assault incident involving Haris’ son, Mohammad Nalapad.
The party also replaced HS Chandra Mouli with KP Chandrakala in Madikeri after it emerged that Mouli was allegedly lawyer of fugitive and an accused in PNB fraud case, Mehul Choksi.
