While conducting surveys in Mumbai, the EIPR (Enforcers of Intellectual Property Rights) team observed the sale of counterfeit products of Milton brand. The EIPR team investigated activities of the mentioned target. As a part of this investigation, the EIPR team purchased few products of Milton from the manufacturing unit owner Paresh Gala. These were checked by an expert who confirmed the purchased products were counterfeit. Thereafter, an investigation report was sent for approval. After seeking assistance from Crime branch, the EIPR team conducted a raid. After regular visits to the police officials, they agreed to conduct raid on the target.

Thereafter, the accused was taken to police station and the Police Inspector Mr. Sunil Kadam, along with Sub-inspector Mr. Popat Tilekar interrogated the accused who himself was a manufacturer of counterfeit products.

All counterfeit products of Hamilton Housewares Pvt. Ltd. were seized and the accused was arrested. A case was then registered at the Vinobha Bhave Nagar Police Station and an FIR was filed of 157/2017 Dated 19/07/2017 U/s. 103 & 104 of Trademarks Act, 1999 and U/s. 420 of IPC
