1.27 acre reserve sites retrieved

Corporation officials today retrieved reserve sites measuring 1.27 acres and valued at Rs.9.16 crore from four zones, encroached by private parties.
The officials carried out the drive in Vadavalli in North zone, Kapatti in East zone, Vellakinaru in North Zone and Kurichi and nearby areas in South zone and retrieved the sites marked for children park and other common facilities.
The Corporation has retrieved over Rs.300 crore worth encroached lands measuring nearly 30 acres from private parties from November 2016 to March 2017, official sources said.
