3 DAY DANCE FESTIVAL OF BHARATIYA VIDYA BHAVAN GETS OFF TO A START

The 3 day Dance Festival of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Coimbatore Kendra commenced on 31.10.2025. On the inaugural day Sri. N.V.Nagasubramaniam, Chairman, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Coimbatore Kendra, conferred the ‘Nritya Ratna’ Award on eminent dancer Smt. Padma Murali, Founder Director, Padmalaya Dance Foundation, Bengaluru.

Delivering the presidential address, Sri. N.V.Nagasubramaniam, spoke on how Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan was nurturing the rich cultural tradition of Bharat by honouring such eminent artists like Smt. Padma Murali who have made a significant contribution to the art form. Smt. Padma Murali thanked Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan for conferring the award on her which would inspire her to continue her work. This was followed by a dance programme by students of Padmalaya Dance Foundation.

On 1-11-2025 Smt. Lakshmi Shree Vikranth, Smt. Shara Sivithkumar & Kum.Bharathi Venkat will present a dance programme which will be followed by a dance recital by Nrithyarpana School of Bharatanatyam. The festival concludes on 2-11-2025 with Bharatanatyam presentation by Sri Sai Nrutha Dance School.
