Chennai’s music composer A R Rahman will deliver a high-tech musical extravaganza for Samajwadi party leader Mulayam Singh Yadav’s birthday bash at Saifai in Uttar Pradesh today.

Saifai, the native village of the Yadavs in Etawah district, would have never seen a music performance of this scale before. But nothing but the best for UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, who makes this costly musical gift for his father who will be 72 tomorrow.

Rahman’s programme is aimed at supporting the message “Clean U.P, Green U.P.”

The ‘Green U.P.’ initiative was recently launched by Akhilesh Yadav.

It is reported that Rahman himself will take place in a sapling plantation movement.

While a string of Bollywood bigwigs like Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Hrithik Roshan and Salman Khan are expected to turn up, this is also touted as a political event with RJD chief Laloo Prasad Yadav, JD(U) leader Sharad Yadav, JD(S) leader and former PM Deve Gowda.
