Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women, Coimbatore in collaboration with Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi, will host a Round Table Conference of Newly Appointed
Vice-Chancellors on September 11–12, 2025
Themed “Academic Leadership: Driving Change for Viksit Bharat and Beyond”, the conference seeks to strengthen academic leadership in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), aligning with the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
A total of 25 newly appointed Vice-Chancellors from across the country are expected to participate, making this a landmark platform for dialogue, policy reflection, and collaborative engagement.

The two-day deliberations will include sessions on academic leadership, curriculum innovation, assessment and evaluation, governance reforms, sustainable practices, Indian Knowledge Systems, AI in education, internationalisation of higher education including INIHE, and global partnerships. The program will be conducted through expert talks, panel discussions, case studies, and experience sharing, fostering empowered leadership and future-ready institutions.
