The GRD School of Commerce and International Business, under Dr.GRD College of Science, organized an engaging session as part of its CEO Words Series, featuring Ramaswamy Narayanan, CEO & Founder of Bridgepath Innovations. The session was titled “How to Build a Strong Business Venture in India?”

Addressing aspiring entrepreneurs and management students,Narayanan shared valuable insights on building sustainable and resilient businesses in India’s rapidly evolving economic landscape. He emphasized that entrepreneurship is not just about starting a company but about identifying genuine market gaps, solving real-world problems, and creating long-term value.

Highlighting India’s transition from a “market of potential” to a “market of performance,” he stressed the importance of mastering the local ecosystem before expanding globally. He underlined that ventures must be built with strong financial discipline, solvency, and credit credibility to withstand volatility and unexpected economic challenges.

“A business in India must be structured to survive nine difficult months to enjoy one great year,” he remarked, urging students to focus on risk management and sustainable growth rather than short-term gains.

During the interactive session, he outlined key principles for building strong ventures:

Start with purpose, not profit,Focus on solving real problems,
Prioritize execution over theory,
Align with India’s strengths in digital transformation and AI,
Embed technology from the beginning,
Maintain strong governance and compliance,Build long-term differentiated value.

He also encouraged students to develop leadership qualities, clarity of purpose, and the courage to say “no” when necessary to maintain focus.
The session witnessed active participation from students, who engaged in thoughtful discussions and sought practical guidance on entrepreneurship and business leadership.

The event was organized under the leadership of Dr. K.K. Ramachandran, Vice Principal and Director, GRD School of Commerce and International Business, GRD Institute of Management, Coimbatore.
The CEO Words Series continues to provide a vibrant platform for students to interact with industry leaders and gain real-world perspectives on business and innovation.
