Chain snatched from woman

In yet another incident of chain snatching in the city, a person on motorbike snatched a gold chain from a 68-year old woman near P.N. Palayam here on Wednesday.

According to the Police, the victim J. Leelavathi (68) is a resident of GKS Nagar near P.N. Palayam. Leelavathy was walking near her residence on Wednesday around 8.00 p.m., when an unknown person on a two-wheeler snatched the seven-sovereign gold chain she was wearing and escaped with the booty.

The chain is worth Rs. 84,000 and the Race Course police have registered a case and are on the lookout for the culprit.
