Coimbatore-Jabalpur special train reservation begins today

A weekly special train from Coimbatore to Jabalpur via Mangalore will start its first run on January 8. The train 02197 will leave Coimbatore at 7.05 pm on January 8 and reach Jabalpur on Wednesday. The special train will be operated up to April 2 and run on every Monday. Reservations began today.

The train will have an AC 2-tier-cum-AC 3-tier coach, two AC 3-tier coaches, 10 sleeper class coaches, four general second class coaches and two luggage-cum-brake van coaches.

It will have stops at Palakkad, Shoranur, Tirur, Kozhikkode, Vadakara, Thalassery, Kannur, Payyanur, Kanhangad, Kasaragod, Mangalore Jn., Mulki, Udupi, Mookambika Road Byndoor, Kumta, Karwar, Madgaon, Thivim, Kudal, Kankavali, Ratnagiri, Chiplun, Khed, Roha, Panvel, Igatpuri, Manmad, Bhusaval, Khandwa, Harda, Itarsi, Pipariya, Gadarwara and Narsinghpur stations.

The railways has also rescheduled and regulated several trains due to engineering works in Tirupur railway station tomorrow. Train 12675 Chennai Central to Coimbatore Kovai Express, scheduled to leave Chennai Central at 6.10 am tomorrow, will be regulated for 50 minutes at Jolarpettai. Train 12243 Chennai Central to Coimbatore Shatabdi Express, scheduled to leave Chennai Central at 07.15 am will be regulated for 40 minutes at Jolarpettai.

Two trains will be late in reaching Podanur station. Train 12508 Guwahati to Thiruvananthapuram Express will reach Podanur late by 60 minutes tomorrow and train 22644 Patna-Ernakulam Express will reach Podanur late by an hour and 40 minutes tomorrow.

Train 12676 Coimbatore to Chennai Central Kovai Express will start an hour late from Coimbatore tomorrow and leave at 3.55 pm. Train 12244 Coimbatore to Chennai Central Shatabdi Express will start from Coimbatore 45 minutes late at 4.10 pm tomorrow.

Train 12512 Thiruvananthapuram-Gorakhpur Raptisagar Express which is scheduled to leave Thiruvananthapuram at 6.50 am. Train 16860 Mangalore to Chennai Egmore Express, will be regulated for 25 minutes in Coimbatore tomorrow.
