Sriram said they wanted to apply their engineering knowledge in the sanitation work. “We have formed a team and are aiming to implement our knowledge in waste management, conventional process of waste collection, segregation, transportation and processing,” he said.

They have been engaged in various games and screening movies about sanitation and holding workshops.

“We identified the problems in the panchayat and planned accordingly. We explained about the waste segregation and importance of sanitation to the residents through pamphlets. We analysed the process carried on by sanitary workers and suggested an alternative to improve efficiency,” said Eureka.
