Coimbatore to Host ‘Run for Her’ Marathon on July 26

The T-shirt launch ceremony for “Komagal Marathon 2026 – Run for Her”, scheduled to be held on July 26 at 6:00 AM at Nehru Stadium, focusing on women’s empowerment, health, and social awareness, was held successfully at the Rajiv Gandhi Nagar Sangam Grounds.

The event was organised by off Screen Hub in association with Nirmala College for Women.K.S. Sree Giri Prasad, MLA, Singanallur Constituency, inaugurated the event by unveiling the official marathon T-shirt.

The organisers stated that people of all genders can participate in the marathon. They particularly appealed to men to take part in the event in honour of the women in their families mothers, sisters, wives, daughters, and other women—for their dedication and contributions.

Distinguished guests including runner Vijay Anand,Vanitha, HR Team Leader at Robert Bosch, Rajesh from Atom Infinity, along with Dr.Nithya, Dr.Mallika K. Mohana, and Parvathi Ravi, attended the event as special guests and appreciated this initiative aimed at the advancement of women.

The dignitaries emphasised that “Run for Her” is not merely a marathon, but a social movement that promotes women’s safety, equality, health, and empowerment. The event witnessed participation from volunteers and members of the public in large numbers.
