Coimbatore Vizha arranges Exotic Car Rally Around 50 vintage cars showcased!

Coimbatore Vizha along with Rotary Club of Coimbatore City is organizing an Exotic Car Rally, giving an opportunity for everyone in Covai a chance to witness some of the best classic automobiles in the town.

The rally begins by 9.30 a.m. at the Coimbatore Cosmopolitan Club. The rally & show was flagged off by Mr V Balakrishnan IPS, Commissioner of Police in the presence of Rahul Kamath, Chair, Coimbatore Vizha & Vikram Ahuja, Co-Chair, Coimbatore Vizha.

Around 50 vintage cars will be featured in this rally which begins at the Coimbatore Cosmopolitan Club and ends at Lakshmi Mills urban center.

Prior to this rally, the cars will be displayed at the club for 2 hours from 7.30 a.m. and Displayed full day for general public at Lakshmi mills urban center. After that, mementos will be given to the vehicle-owners who showcased their classic vehicles.

The organizing team conveyed that they have handpicked the cars this year too, so that repetition of the vintage vehicles could be avoided. All the vehicles are made before 1960s, making them truly rare and classic.

Every car one sees at the rally will have its uniqueness, the team conveyed.

Special and Para Sports 2024

The third edition of Special Sports and Para Sports was organized on Thursday at Hindustan College of Arts and Science grounds from 8 am to 5 pm.

G Chandeesh, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Coimbatore (North) and Deepa Mohan Raj, Founder, Kaumaram Prasanthi Special School inaugurated the event. Around 200 children with intellectual disabilities, learning disability and children with physical disability participated.

The games were conducted as per the special olympics norms as it could serve as a talent hunt for these children, to get identified and trained for further events.

This year , Tae Kwon do, table tennis and Blind football were held as a showcase event for the adult para athletes.
