Ahead of the International Yoga Day on June 21, Esri India, a leading Geographic Information System (GIS) software and solutions provider, has launched an app to help yoga enthusiasts locate a yoga centre.

The app – Yogamplify – is available through web and mobile phones lists their International Yoga Day events and provide details like location, timing, chief guest and capacity.

This information will be placed on an interactive map. Yoga enthusiasts can view the events organised near their locations and find the best way to reach there, Ersi India President Agendra Kumar said in a statement.

This app makes use of Esri’s cloud known as ArcGIS Online, Kumar said. “Esri India supports the government’s vision for promoting yoga around the globe.”

Esri India Technologies Ltd (Esri India), erstwhile NIIT GIS Ltd. established in 1996, is a joint venture between NIIT Technologies Limited, India, and Esri Inc.
