A 42-year-old man attempted suicide by climbing on to a cell phone tower and threatening to jump, because he was tired of his wife’s constant harassment. She kept pestering him to go to work.
The man, Raja, was employed in a bakery. He began climbing the 100-foot-tall phone tower, but fatigue stopped him at around 75 feet. Personnel from the fire and rescue department tried to pacify him to come down, but Raja threatened to jump. Eventually, he agreed to come down.
Raja’s wife however claims that he used to spend all his earnings on alcohol and gave no money to the family.
