A 22-year old woman today sought action against her former lover for jilting her. She also sought action against the police for not taking action on her complaint against Ranjith Kumar.

K. Sivaranjani, along with her mother and a few activists, came to the District Collectorate to submit a petition on the grievances day, police said.

In her petition, Sivaranjani sought immediate action against her ex-lover, Ranjith Kumar, who had had a sexual relationship with her in October 2013, promising marriage.

But he got engaged to another girl, and the marriage was likely to take place in a couple of days in Palladam, she said.

In her petition, she claimed that she had filed a complaint at Thudiyalur All Woman Police Station. But the police had asked her to accept the money offered by Ranjith’s father and forget the boy.
