Kodanad case : One accused surrenders before district court

Ooty : Manoj Sami, one of the 10 accused in Kodanadu murder and heist case, on Wednesday surrendered before the District Court here.

The District Judge, P Vadamalai had on February 18 issued arrest warrant against Sami for not appearing before him in connection with the case on that day.

Even as police was searching, Sami surrendered before the judge, who remanded him to judicial custody till March 4 and he was being taken to Central Jail in Coimbatore.

Meanwhile, two other key accused–Sayan and Manoj–who are absconding since last week and against whom arrest warrants are issued, got a reprieve, following a stay by Madras High Court this morning, on their arrest till February 25.
