The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has announced that it will soon operate luxury tourist buses from the Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) in Bengaluru to Coimbatore. These luxury buses will have all the amenities, including built-in toilets.

Depending on the success of the route, more buses will be operated on the KIA-Coimbatore route, a KSRTC official said.

Special buses were launched from the airport to Manipal on Thursday.

In August 2013, KSRTC launched a Bengaluru-Mysuru bus service. Nearly 50,000 passengers had since then used the service.
