Coimbatore : A woman undergoing treatment in a private hospital here for burn injuries suffered in Kurangini fire mishap, died today, taking the death toll to 18 in the incident so far.
The 32-year old Jayashree from Chennai was airlifted from Madurai and admitted to a private hospital here on March 12, the day after the fire in Kurangini in Theni district of Tamil Nadu.
Jayashree was brought to the hospital with more than 60 per cent burns and her lungs had been affected as a result of inhaling thick smoke.
