Coimbatore: About 80 leading CEOs and Chief Human Resource Officers from across the World participated in the three-day conclave, titled “Human is Not a Resource,” which concluded today at Isha Yoga Centre here.

The programme is aimed at moving organizations to act like a dynamic and responsive organism, further transformation of the role and approach of HR as a function, create an environment that stimulates innovation and high performance and engineering inner transformation to move towards excellence.

Isha founder Jaggi Vasudev, who designed the Conclave stressed the need for a fundamental change in the way we approach human resource.

” Human is not a resource. Human beings are a tremendous possibility. If we approach human beings as resource, then we will never unfold their innate genius.

Whatever kind of business you are into, ultimately there is only one business, that is Human Wellbeing,” he said.

Gajendra Chandel of Tata Motors said, “Tata Motors entered into partnerships with premier Indian institutions to train 1,000 students,100 teachers and professors every year, not just for the company, but for the country too. Our
managers worked on-field, hands-on with the suppliers and dealers to understand theentire value chain,” Chandel said.

Sharing his experience, Wing Commander Prabhat Shukla of National Defence Academy talked on the role of ‘Commitment’ in the armed forces.

Sanjay Behl, CEO, Raymonds Ltd, Rajagopal Raghavan,Senior Vice President- HR, Indigo Airlines, Mohnish Sinha, Partner, Deloitte, Saumen Chakraborty, President, CFO and Global Head of IT and BPE, Dr Reddy´s Laboratories also spoke at the conclave the speakers, a Isha release said.

The sessions in the program covered a range of subjects including how to manage the new-age millennial workforce, change management and why it is important for the people-function to be apart of company strategy, it said.
