Coimbatore : Estate workers in Cincona in Valparai today struck work today demanding immediate solution to check the growing straying of wild animals, particularly leopards. This followed a leopard attack on a woman worker late last night,
According to police, a woman was attacked when she was standing near her house. Her hand and abdomen were injured.

Protesting against the incident, workers resorted to strike seeking immediate solution to the increasing incidents of wild animal attacks on humans and killings of pet animals, police said. Senior forest department and police officials and estate management are discussing the issue with workers.
