Make A Difference (MAD), the NGO with a nationwide presence, is all set to organize the second edition of Samarpana, in order to raise funds for all its charity activities. Last year, MAD organized the first edition of Samarpana which was well received by the Coimbatore audience.

MAD has presence in 23 cities in India, with a strong base in Coimbatore. Currently MAD has 200 volunteers in the city, operates in three shelter homes, and supports about 130 children. “MAD, through its team of volunteers, currently works with the children of Don Bosco Anbu Illam, PSG, and Seva Ashram Children’s Home. The funds raised through Samarpana will be used to support the various education projects aimed at the children of these three homes,” Aditya J., city team leader of MAD Coimbatore, says.

This year too, MAD joins hands with Shree Natya Niketan School of Fine Arts to organize Samarpana. Headed by Guru Vidushi Mrudula Rai, the dance school teaches and performs Bharatanatyam and traditional Indian folk dances.

Nearly 30 students from this city-based dance school will present about six Bharathanatyam dance performances. A release from MAD says that there will be Kalari performance by Kailasaam CVN Kalari. About 500 people are expected to attend this programme.

Tickets for this show are priced at Rs.150, 300, and 500. The Kikani School auditorium is the venue for the show.

Samarpan will be held on February 6 from 6 pm onwards. For information about this classical dance show and tickets, call MAD at 95009-80909.
