Union Minister of State for Shipping Pon Radhakrishnan today played the role of Good Samaritan, when he rescued two youngsters involved in an accident and admitted them to a hospital in the city.

Radhakrishnan, on his way to the city, noticed them lying on Vellalore Road, with blood stains, and immediately stopped his vehicle, police said.

Both of them were taken in a police escort vehicle and admitted to the nearest private hospital. The Minister was visiting the city to oversee the arrangements for the one-day programme of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The PM is expected to attend two functions and also address a public meeting, said to be BJP’s pre-poll campaign for Tamil Nadu.
