India’s favourite fumbling twosome from Furfuri Nagar, superstars Motu and Patlu, were in Coimbatore today to promote their theatrical outing, ‘Motu Patlu-King of Kings’, set for a Diwali-holiday release.
Motu and Patlu entertained the kids of Delhi Public School with fun and games, and gave away prizes to the winners of a school drawing competition.
Releasing on October 14, the film is Viacom18 Motion Pictures’ first ever home-grown 3D, stereoscopic, animated movie based on the very popular Lotpot magazine characters Motu Patlu, which currently shows on Nickelodeon, a company release said.
The fun duo Motu Patlu said, “We are super excited to be in Coimbatore to meet children and talk to them about our debut. Children have loved us on television and made us an intrinsic part of their daily lives. We are sure that they will be as exited and enthralled with the adventures and visual extravaganza of our big screen debut.”
The movie will see Motu Patlu, with their friends Chingam, Dr Jhatka and Ghasitaram, in a plot with a runaway circus lion, a lion king trying to protect his kingdom and a greedy poacher who wants to ruin the jungle. And it is up to Motu Patlu to set things right.
