The services of Nilgiri Mountain Rail (NMR) ran into trouble yet again after the track was blocked by a landslide between Kallar and Hillgrove stations, following heavy rains. Yesterday, the services were disrupted for two hours after an uprooted tree fell on the tracks.

The train, as usual, left Mettupalayam at 7.10 AM today, and was brought to a halt between Kallar and Hillgrove, after the authorities were informed that a landslide had occurred and had blocked the tracks.

Since it was impossible to clear the tracks, the train headed back to Mettupalayam, much to the disappointment of the 160 passengers.
