Police directed to apprehend absconding accused in Kodaanad case,  Manoj and Sayan

Ooty : The District Court here today directed police to arrest two key accsued Manoj and Sayan, who failed to appear before it for the second time in connection with the Kodanadu murder and heist case.

As the case came up for hearing before the Judge P Vadajmalai, only seven accused appeared and as the remaining were failed to appear, the case was posted for March four.

While Sayan and Manoj, the key accused, were absconding after the bail was cancelled, following appeal by the Government, after they linked Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, Edapadi K Palanisamy on the ground of possible tampering of evidence and influencing witnesses, another accused Manoj alias Swamy failed to appear in the court this morning.

Directing the police to apprehend Swamy and produce him on March 4, Vadamalai issued order to arrest Sayan and Manoj, against whom he had already issued arrest warrants in the last hearing.

Of the seven, five accused are on bail, and two others are lodged in the Central jail in Coimbatore for various other cases.
