PSG College of Nursing, a premier institution in nursing education since 1994, is proudly celebrated its 26th Graduation Ceremony on 29.5.2026 at PSG IMS&R Auditorium. Marking a significant milestone for the graduating classes of Undergraduate 2021 batch and Postgraduate 2023 batch. Built on a century-long legacy of the PSG Sons’ Charities, the College of Nursing has consistently set benchmarks in clinical excellence and compassionate care. Graduation was presided over by Shri. L. Gopalakrishnan, Managing Trustee of PSG Sons’ Charities, whose visionary leadership continues to steer the institution toward global standards of academic brilliance.
The ceremony was featured by distinguished panel of guests : Chief Guest Prof .Dr.Bimla Kapoor, former Director of the School of Health Sciences at Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), New Delhi, Chairperson National Nursing and Midwifery Commission Bill , A stalwart in nursing education, Dr. Kapoor’s contributions to distance learning and healthcare administration have shaped the careers of thousands of professionals nationwide.Guest of Honour:Dr. Judith Angelitta Noronha, Professor and Dean of Manipal College of Nursing, MAHE. Dr. Noronha is a renowned academician and researcher, representing one of India’s top-ranked nursing institutions
Mr. Donald jean.D- 2021 batch received the best out going graduate award. Subject topper, Class topper, Best Academic, Best Clinical Nurse, Best Researcher, Best SNA member, Best NSS Volunteer, Best YRC Volunteer, Best Sports Man and Sports Woman were also awarded during the ceremony. 97 Under Graduates and 15 Post Graduates received their degree certificates. Dignitaries on the Dias congratulated the graduates on completing the graduation program and expressed their wishes for future success in Nursing Profession. The cheif guest, highlighted the graduate’s roles and potential to make a difference in health care and impact the patient life postively. Dr. Judith Angelitta Noronha inspired the graduates with her motivating words and encouraged them to uphold professionalism, compassion, and lifelong learning in their nursing careers
The 26th Graduation is not merely a formal conferral of degrees but a celebration of the rigorous training and ethical grounding provided to the “PSG Nurses” who serve globally. This year, the institution honours the resilience of the 2021 undergraduate batch and the specialized expertise of the 2023 Postgraduate batch.
Alumni Reunion:Reconnecting the Legacy
Adding to the day’s festivities, the college was hosted an Alumni Reunion at 11.00am-12.30pm on the same day. Mrs.Kavitha vijay ,NQAS national assessor , national health mission , ministry of health and family welfare ,government of India, was the chief guest for this event . This gathering serves as a bridge between the institutions’s past and its future, inviting distinguished graduates to reconnect, relive their formative years, and contribute to the enduring legacy of their alma mater.PSG College of Nursing remains committed to its mission of shaping skilled, empathetic healthcare leaders.
