Coimbatore : PSG Super Speciality Hospital, Department of Cardiology, PSG IMSR & Hospitals, today successfully inaugurated its state-of-the-art Advanced Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab) at A Block (Basement), PSG Hospitals.

The inauguration ceremony was held on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, between 9.45 AM and 10.45 AM, in the presence of senior hospital administrators, cardiology consultants, faculty members, and distinguished guests.

The newly inaugurated Advanced Cath Lab is equipped with cutting-edge cardiac imaging, angiography systems, and advanced interventional technology, enabling highly precise diagnosis and treatment of complex cardiac conditions. This advanced facility marks a significant milestone in strengthening precision-driven cardiology care at PSG IMSR & Hospitals.

In addition, PSG Hospitals announced the expansion of two more Cath Labs equipped with ALLIA GEIGS-520 and ALLIA GEIGS-320 systems, further enhancing the hospital’s capacity to provide world-class interventional cardiology services.

Speaking on the occasion, hospital authorities stated that the new facility will significantly improve patient outcomes by enabling faster, safer, and more accurate cardiac interventions.
