Water bodies like rivers and lakes are far more effective than trees and forests in controlling carbon emission.

They are also essential for cooling the Earth. The temperature of our planet has already surpassed the threshold set by global nations, reaching 1.55°C in 2024. Therefore, river restoration projects like Kousika River must be expedited.”

A detailed report of this first phase was shared by Rotary District 3201 Governor Rtn. Sundaravadivelu. This report will serve as a foundation for fundraising efforts to support the project.
