Coimbatore, India – January 25, 2025: The Bigbang 2025 Finale, supported by the iExplore Foundation as the Knowledge Partner and Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog, Government of India as the Ecosystem Partner has set new benchmarks in nurturing young innovators. A total of 258 submissions, across 07 states were received of which 128 projects were selected. Over 1,100 participants and more than 5,000 visitors including students, educators and members of the public witnessed the spectacular culmination of creativity, innovation and young talent emphasizing critical role of innovation, education and collaboration in building a sustainable future while promoting 21st-century skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving and innovation.

The highlight of the event was the announcement that the winning team will represent India at the prestigious IEEE Junior Einstein Program in Malaysia in August 2025 allowing them to showcase their talents on an international stage, engage with peers worldwide and exchange ideas for a sustainable future. This initiative was spearheaded by Rtn.Rajendran, President, Rotary Club of Coimbatore West and Rtn. R.Navaneethakrishnan, Program Chairman, showcasing Rotary’s commitment to empowering the youth and fostering innovation.

The projects were evaluated by a distinguished panel of researchers, technologists and industry experts, ensuring a fair and insightful assessment of each idea. The Chief Guest for the Inauguration Ceremony was Dr. Venu Madhav and the Guest of Honor was Dr. Ramalatha Marimuthu, Director – iExplore Foundation while the Valedictory Ceremony was graced by the presence of Air Commodore Ajay Kunnath, Indian Air Force, New Delhi as Chief Guest and Smt. Vidhya Senthilkumar, Director – Marketing, Branding, and CSR, Propel Industries Pvt. Ltd and Shri. Vivekanandhan Koodalingam, Founder & Managing Director, Faraday Ozone, Coimbatore as Guests of Honors.

The event was held on January 25th, 2025 at National Model School, Coimbatore and its success reaffirms the potential of India’s youth as innovators and leaders of tomorrow. By equipping students aged 12-17 with the tools to innovate, the program fosters a new generation of change makers prepared to tackle global issues with practical, impactful solutions while aligning with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
