It was only three weeks since actor and All India Samathuva Makkal Katchi (AISMK) leader R. Sarathkumar walked out of the ruling AIADMK alliance. He teamed up with BJP for the Assembly elections.

However, on Wednesday he again called Chief Minister Jayalalithaa and pledged his support to her party.

Sarathkumar, elected from Tenkasi as an ally of the AIADMK in the 2011 Assembly polls, joined the BJP-led NDA in the presence of Union Minister and Party Tamil Nadu in-charge Prakash Javadekar on February 28 in Chennai.

But now, only after three weeks, he has again quit the BJP to re-enter the AIADMK alliance.

The AISMK had two MLAs in the Assembly.
