The all wheel driven Mitsubishi Evo of Samir Thapar and Evo VIII of Lohit Urs, will be the major attractions in the FMSCI Indian Rally Championship, to be held from July 30.

The three-day rally in Coimbatore, which is the second round of the 2015 IRC Calendar,
the first round that was held in Nashik, will be the first of the gravel/dirt events in the 2015 rallying season, J. Prithviraj, Secretary, Coimbatore Auto Sports Club, who are the organisers, told reporters here on Friday.

The total distance of the rally, in two stages, is 321.94 km. A total of 38 entries have been received, which include Mahindra Adventures, Delhi’s Gaurav Gill and Mangalore-based co driver, Musa Sharif, he said.

Also to be seen in action would be the Mangalore-Bangalore combo of Arjun Rao Aroor and
Satish Rajagopal in the Volkswagen PoloR2 and the Mahindra Adventure entries of
Amitrajit Ghosh-Ashwin Naik and Sanni Siddhu-PVS Murthy, the Secretary said.
