Special License Certificate Camps for Vegetable Traders

The Coimbatore District Collector Archana Patnaik called upon the traders to obtain license certificates from the Department of Food Safety for selling vegetables and fruits.

Special camps for this purpose will be organized on July 30 and 31, 2015.In a statement, she said, “The two-day special camp will be conducted for providing registration number and license certificates for vegetables and fruit traders.”

According to her, the camps would be held at markets across the district including Jadaiyampalayam in Karamdai, Senjerimalai in Sultanpettai, Kinathukadavu Market, Nachipalayam Market in Madukkarai, Gandhi Market in Pollachi, and MGR Market in Coimbatore.

“The camps are jointly organized by the Departments of Horticulture, Food Safety and Agriculture. Traders can apply for the certificate by submitting documents like identity cards, and two photographs, and registration certificate for trading, to obtain the license certificate,” she said.
