Over 850 players would participate in the 16th National Sub-Junior WuShu Championship beginning here tomorrow.

Thirty-two teams from across India would participate in the championship and the winners, both boys and girls, would represent India in international tourneys, Tamil Nadu WuShu Association secretary-general, Johnson told reporters here today.

There would be two categories – below 11 years and below 15 years – which would also be categorised considering the weight of the players, he said.

Certain points or marks would be allotted to the winners, based on which they would be eligible for sports quota in the field of education and for jobs, Johnson added.
