Tata AIG Insurance Company has initiated stringent action against individuals involved in generating forged insurance policy documents, following a series of complaints reported across Tamil Nadu and Puducherry over the past few years. The company has pursued legal proceedings against offenders in multiple regions.

A specific case from September 2019 involved a fatal accident on the Indian oil peytrol bunk jallipatti, in which an individual named Ranganathan injured. During the inquiry conducted by company Manager Vinothkumar , it was determined that the insurance policy presented was Counterfeit. Subsequently, an FIR (No. 241/2023) was registered against the van owner under Section 420 of the Indian Penal Code.

Tata AIG has cautioned that anyone involved in producing or using fake insurance policies will face severe legal repercussions. The initiative is part of the company’s broader efforts to prevent fraud and ensure protection for legitimate policyholders.
