Inaugurated by Capt. Rakesh Sharma, the India’s first man in the space

Coimbatore – Day One of the 3rd edition of the “Transforming India Conclave 2024” at SSVM World School, Coimbatore was concluded with a lot of anticipation among the student community for the forthcoming two days. The three-day event, taking place from September 1st to 3rd, marks a significant milestone in SSVM’s 25 plus years of legacy in educational excellence, with a focus on shaping the future of India’s youth.
This year’s conclave, themed “Resilient Today, Sustainable Tomorrow,” brought together some of India’s most visionary leaders, thinkers, and innovators who enthralled the student with their collective wisdom and path breaking perspectives on various subjects. The event served as a vibrant platform for the exchange of ideas, fostering innovation and collaboration among students, educators, and thought leaders across multiple sectors.
The Conclave was inaugurated by the esteemed Chief Guest, Wing Commander Rakesh Sharma (Retd.), Indian Astronaut and former Indian Air Force Officer. He was joined by Dr. Srimathy Kesan, Founder & CEO of Space Kidz India, for a discussion on “Beyond Earth: Navigating the Cosmos and Inspiring a Nation’s Future.”
Sharing their profound insights into space exploration, they underscored the importance of pushing human boundaries and the role of space missions in driving India’s growth. Rakesh Sharma said, “As we venture beyond Earth, we not only explore the cosmos but also push the boundaries of human potential,” remarked Rakesh Sharma. “Space exploration is more than a scientific endeavor; it is a testament to our relentless pursuit of knowledge and our collective aspiration to elevate humanity. India’s journey to the stars serves as an inspiration for our nation’s youth, reminding them that no dream is too vast and no challenge too great.”

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Manimekalai Mohan – Founder & Managing Trustee, SSVM Group of Institutions, said, “The Transforming India Conclave embodies our commitment to fostering a culture of resilience and sustainability among today’s youth. As we celebrate over two decades of educational excellence, we remain focused on inspiring students to push boundaries, embrace innovation, and build a future that is both sustainable and dynamic.”

Prominent social entrepreneur and global humanitarian Dushyant Savadia addressed the audience on “Pioneering Sustainable Pathways for Tomorrow.” In his address, he emphasized, “Sustainability is not just a choice; it’s our collective responsibility. Our actions today will define the world for future generations, and it’s our duty to ensure that tomorrow’s pathways are resilient, inclusive, and sustainable.”

Indian journalist and news anchor, Ms. Palki Sharma, led a thought-provoking session titled “Unscripted Narratives: Redefining Narratives in a World of Noise.” She encouraged the students to value authenticity in storytelling, stating, “True narratives don’t just inform; they inspire, provoke thought, and ignite change in a world desperate for clarity and purpose.”

Dr. Rupinder Singh Sodi, President of the Indian Dairy Association and Former Managing Director of GCMMF (AMUL), shared his perspective on “Revolutionizing Rural: Crafting a Revolution Beyond Milk.” He stressed, “Transforming rural India goes beyond the dairy industry—it’s about blending innovation with traditional knowledge to uplift communities and build a future where rural development transcends milk production, fostering prosperity across all facets of rural life.”
Each session inspired the audience to explore fresh perspectives on sustainability, technology, and the arts, while encouraging students to actively participate in shaping India’s future.

Ms. Srisha Mohandoss, Co-Founder Ruh Early Years | Ruh Continuum School and Director of Education at SSVM Institutions, added, “Youth are the architects of tomorrow, paving the path for a brighter India amidst global challenges like climate change and social injustice. Their resilience and innovation fuel our hope for a sustainable and just future.”
