Tout arrested for on charges of preventing govt employees from working

Coimbatore : Police today arrested a youth, who is reportedly working as a tout in South Taluk office, on charges of preventing the Government servant from doing his official duty.

According to police, the 34-year old Nandakumar of Rathnapuri in the city, used to work as a tout in Taluk office and was reportedly taking money to help the public to get the work done smoothly.

However, there was complaint against him that he was not allowing the staff to carry out duty properly, police said. As usual, Nandakumar, who came to Taluk office today reportedy prevented
Tahsildar, Palani from carrying out his official work, for which Palani lodged a complaint with nearby police station.

Based on the complaint, police reached the spot and arrested Nandakumar and cases were booked for preventing government official from carrying out his official duty and also using foul language, they said
