The movement of trains from and to Erode was considerably delayed in the morning hours today due to water logging on the tracks after heavy rains in the past 24 hours.

Only one usable track was available and all the incoming and outgoing trains had to run on it. The trains were all halted on one side to clear the way for them to pass, one after the other, resulting in the delay.

Nilgiris Express, Cheran Express, Alapuzha Express, and Kurla Express were among the trains that were delayed.
